Te Hauora O Ngāti Rārua Ltd are delivering a Maara Oranga / Maara Kai  programme for whānau based in Wairau.  The aim of the programme is to empower and educate our people to invest in the health and wellbeing of their whānau.  This programme is supported by Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu   (Sth Island Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency).

Rongoā Māori

Te Hauora O Ngāti Rārua Ltd provides Traditional Māori therapy that offes a holistic healing service based on cultural sensitivity and spiritual healing.

The Service includes:
  • Mirimiri (massage)
  • Karakia (prayer)
  • Whitiwhiti korero (cultural support)

Whanau can self refer to the service and referrals are accepted from other health professionals or organisations.

Whānau Ora Navigator Service

Te Hauora O Ngāti Rārua Ltd provides a Whānau Ora Navigator Service, hosted through Te Pūtahitanga O Te Waipounamu (Sth Island Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency).  The Navigator’s role is to co-ordinate or facilitate activities, services and opportunities to support the aspirations of whānau, enabling whānau to be self-managing and responsible for their economic, cultural and social development and wellbeing.

The Service includes:
  • Identifying strengths within the whānau
  • Facilitating and mentoring whānau to identify aspirations and develop a whānau plan
  • Advocacy and support whānau to access services
  • Draw on a range of approaches to support whānau in achieving their aspirations.

Te Hauora O Ngāti Rārua Ltd also has a Whānau Ora Navigator who works specifically with those affected by the November 2016 Earthquakes in Marlborough South.

Te Ha o Ngā Rangatahi

Te Hauora O Ngāti Rārua Ltd is providing a new a Suicide Prevention Programme, funded by Te Pūtahitanga O Te Waipounamu (Sth Island Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency).  

  
Te Ha O Ngā Rangatahi is a collective approach to providing a solution to suicide prevention.   The programme will co-ordinate and facilitate activities, services and opportunities to support the sharing and transmission of knowledge to whānau around suicide prevention.
